West Fourth Landscape Architecture has always had a passion for working with residential clients. Roy Pender believes that every home can benefit from a thoughtful design process and guidance of a landscape architect.
Our history of projects includes many small gardens, urban residences, suburban homes and large estates. No matter the project, we strive to meet the desires and needs of each client. It is the ability to match our clients’ needs with their financial goals, while maintaining a healthy relationship with the environment, which makes WFLA a leader in residential design.
It is often the public spaces outside of a building that are enjoyed the most. West Fourth has planned and designed many such places, including transportation and government centers, recreational complexes and neighborhood parks, arboretums, memorial gardens, medical facilities, rooftop gardens, and greenways.
From master plans for colleges, hospitals and hospices, to planned unit developments and apartments and townhouse developments, and historical sites and urban projects, Roy Pender and West Fourth bring together, or become part of the required team, to work with the Clients’ needs and required regulations and demands. Working with these needs and the unique features of the site (genus loci), a plan is developed to take the project from initial concept, to rezoning to finished project.
No two are ever the same, each project is unique.
